From the Modify Alarm Help dialog you can edit the help, and if you have sufficient privilege, reset or download the modified help.
DeltaV alarm help is highly configurable. Refer to your plant’s standard operating procedures for how alarm help is used at your location. By default this dialog contains the following fields:

To modify the help:
The changes you make to the help are not visible to users until the changes are downloaded to the DeltaV system.

If you have sufficient privilege you can click the Reset button to clear the text fields and return the Time to Respond and Consequence of Inaction fields to their default values. If you have privileges for all the Alarm Help fields, the reset button also clears the Enable alarm help check box on the alarm properties dialog. Any changes are saved to the configuration database.
After you modify the help a blue triangle appears on the Download button. If you have sufficient privilege you can download the modified help to the DeltaV system.
