Set sort order and sort method

Use the Batch Column Settings dialog to select the columns to be sorted, and the sort method and sort order for selected columns.

Note

You can also use the Sort Ascending and Sort Descending commands and toolbar buttons to quickly set a sort method on selected columns.

To sort on a column:

  1. Click Events → Sort → Settings to open the Batch Column Settings dialog.
    Note

    The Start Time column is always sorted and is sorted in descending order by default. You cannot remove sorting on the Start Time column but you can change the sort method from descending to ascending.

  2. In the Unsorted list box, select the column to be sorted and click the button to add the column to the Sorted list.
  3. Repeat this step until you have added all the columns that you want to sort to the Sorted Columns list.
    Note

    To remove a column from the sort, select the column in the Sorted / Method list box and click the < button.

    By default, all columns except the Start column are sorted in ascending sort order.

    To change a column's sort method:

    1. In the Sorted / Method list box, select the column that you want to change and click the Change Sorting button.
    2. Click the Move Up button to move the selected column up in the list. Click the Move Down button to move the selected column down in the list.
  4. Click OK to close the dialog and update the display with the changes you made.

    Click Cancel to close the dialog without updating the display.
