Are you unable to perform database operations?

The DeltaV software requires that the Lock Server background service is running before performing any database operations.

Click Start → Settings → Control Panel → Administrative Tools, and then double-click the Services icon or right-click in the taskbar, and then click Task Manager to verify that this service is running. If this service is not running, start it. (Click Start → Settings → Control Panel → Administrative Tools. Then, double-click the Services icon.)
