Housing (DeltaV RM100/RM104 switches)
- Only technicians authorized
by Emerson are permitted to open the housing.
- The device is grounded via
the voltage supply socket.
- Make sure that the
electrical installation meets local or nationally applicable safety
regulations.
- The ventilation slits must
not be covered to ensure free air circulation.
- The distance to the
ventilation slots of the housing has to be a minimum of 10 cm.
- Never insert pointed objects
(thin screwdrivers, wires, etc.) into the inside of the subrack. Failure to
observe this point may result in injuries caused by electrical shocks.
- Close all empty slots with a
covering panel.
- The device must be installed
in the horizontal or upright position, either as a table unit in the switch
cabinet or on the wall.
- When installing the device,
make sure there is at least one free rack space (approx. 5 cm) above the
device, because heat is discharged via the housing of the device.
- If you are operating the
device in a 19-inch switch cabinet: install sliding/mounting rails for holding
the device.
