The recommended way to interact with DeltaV Smart Switches is through the Network Device Command Center (NDCC). NDCC has an SSH to Switch option that provides you with the required software to use secure shell to connect to the switch's command line interface (CLI)
The following changes require using the SSH interface.
When SSH is enabled in the DeltaV Smart Switches, a file containing a key for encryption is self-generated by the switch. You should change the key file of each switch for added security. Changing the key is a manual procedure. Refer to the Emerson Knowledge Base Articles (KBA) for more information on generating and replacing the key file.
