The built-in browser for the Smart Switch

After a DeltaV Smart Switch is configured with an IP address and the Java software has been installed on the non-DeltaV Management station, you can use the switch's built-in browser to monitor the switch. The admin account is disabled in the browser so you cannot make changes to the switch configuration from the browser.

To access the browser:

1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. Enter the switch's IP address in the browser’s address line.
3. Click Cancel if a warning dialog appears.

   A login dialog appears.

4. Be sure that user is the Login name, and Emerson1 is the password.
5. Click OK.

A web page opens with a navigation pane at the left. Expand the various items in the left hand column of the display to view information about the switch.
