Creating a user account from the DeltaV User Manager creates a Windows user account and a DeltaV database account on the local computer. The DeltaV database account appears on all workstations in the workgroup. However, to log on to a workstation and use the DeltaV database account, users also need a Windows account on each workstation. To create Windows accounts on other workstations, use DeltaV User Manager to replicate user accounts to other workstations. Once established, user accounts can be modified or deleted from the DeltaV User Manager.
In a workgroup environment, all users must exist on every workstation in the DeltaV workgroup with the same username and password. Refer to DeltaV User Manager help for information on replicating accounts across a workgroup.
