Scale a batch

A batch can be scaled using the Edit Campaign Batches dialog or when you select the base recipe for a campaign, in the Select Recipe dialog.

When scaling a batch, you can not exceed the min or max limits of any one of the scalable parameters in the recipe. If the batch scale value causes a parameter to become greater or less than the max and min limits of that parameter, it is highlighted in red. You must manually change that parameter (thereby creating a custom formula) or change the batch scale value so the parameter remains within its limits.

  1. From the Edit Campaign Batches dialog
  2. Select the batch you want to scale.
  3. Right-click, and then select Edit.
  4. Change either the Value or Scale field. The other field changes correspondingly.
  5. Complete the other information as needed.
  6. Click OK to close the Edit Campaign Batches dialog.
  7. From the Select Recipe dialog
  8. Select the name of the recipe from the drop-down list in the Base Recipe field.
  9. Click View Parameters to display a grid of parameters and their values and engineering units.
  10. Change the Value or Scale field.
  11. Complete the other information as needed.
  12. Click Select to close the Select Recipe dialog, and then return to the Create Campaign dialog.
