Restart a batch

  1. Click the Batch List button to open the Batch List screen.
  2. Select the batch you want to restart.
    Note

It may be necessary to first clear failures by clicking the Clear all Failures button before clicking the Restart Batch button.

  3. Click the Restart Batch button on the Commands button bar.
  4. If you are prompted for confirmation, click Yes to restart the batch or No to cancel.
  5. If restarting a batch from a Lost or Recover_Failed state, you are prompted for the type of restart (warm or cold). Select the type (enter a comment if needed), and then click OK.
    • Warm Restart - Puts the batch in the Held state in Manual mode.
    • Cold Restart - Puts the batch in the Ready state, as if it were a new batch.

You can also restart a batch from the PFC and the Table screens. However, the Restart button is only active if the highest level of the Hierarchical Step List or PFC is highlighted. If the focus is on a lower step of the procedure, the command buttons are inactive.
