Copy a Batch Historian database

  1. In order to copy a database, you must first detach it.
  2. Select the detached database that you want to copy.
  3. Right-click, and then select Copy.
  4. Enter the path to where you want to copy the database (or click Browse). This can be another machine or another drive, for example, a write-able CD ROM.
    Note

    Because of the operating system security restrictions, the destination path cannot entered as a mapped drive. Instead, enter the destination as a UNC path (\\machinename\sharename\folder). This is also the case when browsing for the destination. Replace any mapped drive destinations with the appropriate UNC path.

  5. Click OK.
