The Backup Status column in the Event Chronicle Administration application displays the current backup status of a data set. The following values can appear in this column:
Value |
Description |
|
Modified |
Either the data set has changed since the last time it was backed up or the data set has never been backed up. |
|
Backed Up |
The data set has been backed up and no data has changed since the last time it was backed up. |
|
Note |
During manually-initiated backup operations, screen updates to the value in the Backup Status column are suspended. |
You can use the Back up Data Set(s) command to back up all the current data sets to a directory of your choice. (It is recommended that you select a directory location on the current workstation, but outside the DeltaV system directory.) The resulting backup is a collection of data files that may be restored as a collection of current history data sets. Backing up the Event Chronicle data does not delete the data sets from primary storage.
