Create Extended Data Sets

An extended data set is one that has been previously exported and has been imported back into primary storage using the Create extended data sets function. Extended data sets are stored in the DeltaV\CHRONICLE directory.

  1. Click Tools | Create Extended History Data Set(s).
  2. On the Create Extended Data Set(s) dialog, browse to the directory that contains the exported data sets to be used to create the extended data sets.
  3. Select the data sets and click Open

    4. Note Exported data set file names follow the format: computername#eventstartdate#eventenddate.

  4. If desired, enter a comment in the Comment field on the Create Extended History Data Set(s) dialog.
  5. Click OK to create the extended data sets.
