Export Data Set

Active, current and extended data sets can be exported.

1. Select the data set you want to export.
2. Right-click and click Export Data Set.
3. Select the export format: SQL file format, Access file format, or text file format.

Note You can create extended sets from data sets exported in SQL file format. Access and text file formats may be useful if you have third-party programs that read the exported data sets.

4. Select the time span if you want to export only a portion of the events within the data set.
5. Browse for the directory to which you want to export the data set. (It is recommended that you select a directory location on the current workstation, but outside the DeltaV system.)

Note The default time zone reference in an exported data set is UTC, which is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Exporting a data set does not delete it from primary storage.
