Performing these manual steps resets the EIOC and the non-volatile
memory within the Ethernet Isolation Ports to the default decommissioned state.
Unplug the primary and secondary Ethernet Isolation Ports from
the carrier.
Remove both EIOCs from the carrier and install them in the
opposite slots: move the EIOC in the right slot to the left slot and the EIOC
in the left slot to the right slot.
Wait one or two minutes for the EIOC to boot up.
Plug the primary and secondary Ethernet Isolation Ports into
their original locations.
Note
This procedure can be useful in the rare case that a new
database has been brought online or the EIOC has been removed from one Area
Control Network and placed on another Area Control Network before it was
decommissioned.
