In the I/O Explorer pane of I/O Studio, you can apply filtering to I/O
nodes and devices, and group them so that you interact only with certain
subsets of objects that share common properties. The I/O Explorer can filter on
the following object properties:
- Name
- Description
- HART Long Tag
- Object Type
- I/O Interface
- Signal Type
- HART Device Manufacturer
- HART Device Type
- HART Device Revision
- Allocation State
Complete the following steps to apply filtering so that the I/O
Explorer pane displays only objects with shared properties:
- Click
Apply Filter.
- Use the
Filter on dropdown control to select a property to filter on.
Alternatively, you can type text in the
Filter on field to search for objects.
- Use the
Comparison dropdown control to select the mode of comparison
for filtering, for example,
Equals,
Contains,
Not Equals, and
Does not contain.
- If the selected mode of
comparison is
Equals or
Not Equals, use the
Value dropdown control to select a value for comparison. If
the selected mode of comparison is
Contains or
Does not contain, type the value for comparison.
- Click
Apply. Alternatively, you can click
Add another filter and apply multiple kinds of filtering to
objects.
I/O Studio filters the items according to your selections and displays
the filtered items in the I/O Explorer pane.
