Grouping items based on properties in I/O Studio

In the I/O Explorer pane of I/O Studio, you can group I/O nodes and devices into folders according to specific properties. You can group based on the following object properties:

• Object Type
• I/O Interface
• HART Device Manufacturer
• HART Device Type
• HART Device Revision
• Allocation State

Complete the following steps to apply filtering and create a group of objects with shared properties:

1. Click Group By.
2. On the Group By dialog that appears, select the property you want I/O Studio to use to sort items into folders.

I/O Studio filters the items according to your selections and displays the filtered group of items in the I/O Explorer pane.
