DeltaV import/export functions enable you to move DeltaV objects such as device placeholders from one DeltaV database to another.
In DeltaV Explorer, you can import and export unallocated I/O device placeholders either singly or in bulk. You can also export a single device allocated to an I/O channel, or multiple devices allocated to an I/O node.
When you import or export a device placeholder, the placeholder retains all properties configured and saved in I/O Studio and DeltaV Explorer.
