Enable Process Learning

When Process Learning is enabled on a PID block or a module containing a PID block, the DeltaV system automatically identifies process models and stores a recent history of the models. InSight can then be used for adaptive tuning and to view, analyze, and select the models that will be used to establish the recommended tuning. Process Learning can be enabled from DeltaV Explorer and from InSight Tune. To enable Process Learning from InSight Tune:

Select a PID block or a module containing a PID block.
Right-click, and then select Enable Learning.
The icon appears next to the item in the hierarchy to indicate that Process Learning is enabled.
