Connect power to CHARM I/O Blocks

Redundant 24 VDC power is delivered from bulk power supplies to CHARM I/O through the CHARM I/O Block.

For this procedure, it is assumed that redundant bulk 24 VDC power supplies are already installed.

Ensure that each CHARM I/O Block has an appropriate, unique Address Plug installed before installing Scanner Modules and applying power. If you need to change an Address Plug in a CHARM I/O Block after power has been applied, you must deprovision and power down the CHARM I/O Block before changing the Address Plug.

  1. Connect the bulk power supplies to the power terminals on the CHARM I/O Block as shown in the preceding image.
  2. Ground the connections as shown in the image.
  3. Repeat these steps for all CHARM I/O Blocks.
