Redundant 24 VDC power is
delivered from bulk power supplies to I.S. CHARM I/O through the CHARM I/O
Carrier.
Note
In the following image,
the power supplies and CHARM I/O Carrier are installed in a Hazardous, Div. 2
or Zone 2, Group A, B, C, D location.

For this procedure, it is
assumed that redundant bulk 24 VDC power supplies are already installed.
Connect the bulk power supply to the power terminals on the CHARM
I/O Carrier shown in the preceding image.
Install a fuse between the bulk power supply and the CHARM I/O
Carrier.
The fuse must have a breaking capacity greater than 1500 A and a
Um rating of 40 V. The fuse and fuse holder must meet IEC60079-11 requirements.
