A redundant controller requires an additional Power / Controller Carrier. Do not mix controller types in a redundant controller pair. Use two SX controllers, two SD Plus controllers, or two SQ controllers.
For this procedure, it is assumend that a simplex S-series controller and System Power Supply (24 VDC) are installed on a Power / Controller Carrier.
- Connect a Power / Controller Carrier to the left of the existing Power / Controller Carrier holding a System Power Supply 24 (VDC) and S-series controller.
- Snap a System Power Supply (24 VDC) into the left slot of the Power / Controller Carrier.
- Snap an S-series controller of the same type as the redundant partner into the right slot of the Power / Controller Carrier.
