Install CHARM I/O Block IOPs on CHARM I/O Blocks

CHARM I/O Block IOPs install on CHARM I/O Blocks. The CHARM I/O Block IOP supports both star and ring Ethernet topologies.

For the star Ethernet topology, one IOP is required for simplex operation and two IOPs are required for redundant operation. For the ring Ethernet topology, two IOPs are required.

  1. Insert a CHARM I/O Block IOP into an IOP slot of the CHARM I/O Block and press gently until you hear a click and the IOP is securely seated.
  2. Repeat as necessary until all necessary IOPs are installed.
