Install CHARM I/O Gateway IOPs on CHARM I/O Gateways

CHARM I/O Gateway IOPs install in CHARM I/O Gateways. Use 8-port IOPs for star Ethernet topologies and 1-port IOPs for ring Ethernet topologies.

For redundant operation with a star Ethernet topology, use two 8-port IOPs. For simplex operation with a star Ethernet topology, use one 8-port IOP.

For a ring Ethernet topology, use two 1-port IOPs. Redundant operation is not supported with the ring Ethernet topology.

  1. Insert a CHARM I/O Gateway IOP into an IOP slot of the CHARM I/O Gateway and press gently until you hear a click and the IOP is securely seated.
  2. Repeat as necessary until all necessary IOPs are installed.
