Mount Distributed CHARM Junction Boxes on wall panels

The Distributed CHARMs Junction Box provides ingress protection for a CHARM I/O Block. This topic contains instructions for mounting a Distributed CHARMs Junction Box on a wall panel.

You can fasten the wall panel to the housing from the rear or from the front. Either method requires a #3 Phillips screwdriver.

The specified screw can be used for wall panels up to 8 mm thick. For thicker wall panels, the minimum screw length is equal to the panel thickness plus 12 mm.

  1. Secure the screws to the rear of the housing through the wall panel.
  2. Tighten the screws to 2.8 Nm (25 in-lb).

Equipment must be mounted to studs or other structural components capable of supporting a load of 29.5 kg (65 lbs).

The minimum screw length is 45 mm. The proper screw length for your application is 39 mm plus the desired thread extension beyond the rear face of the housing.
