The Macrocycle Viewer provides a read-only view of the macrocycle for each fieldbus segment. It shows module names, function block assignments and execution times as well as scheduled communication which is the regular, cyclical exchange of data between function blocks on the segment.
The Requested and Calculated macrocycle times are shown across the top of the Macrocycle Viewer display. The Requested macrocycle is the user-specified execution time for all the fieldbus function blocks on the segment. The Calculated macrocycle time, which is produced by the DeltaV system, includes an adjustment that allocates time for unscheduled data transfers.
