The Alarm Pipes page of the Server Monitor Configuration dialog contains the following configuration options:
- Hostname -- Hostname is the computer name on which the OPC server for an alarm pipe runs.
- Server -- The OPC server that contains the OPC item for an alarm pipe.
- Item ID -- The OPC Item for an alarm pipe.
- Server Failure Value -- The value to be written to the OPC item when one or more OPC servers fails to respond to a query within the timeout limit, or a write operation does not complete within the write timeout limit. When this occurs, OPC Mirror remembers the server and does not write additional server alarms for that server until the connection is re-established. At this point, write failures are ignored.
- Write Failure Value -- The value to be written to the OPC item when OPC Mirror fails to write to any OPC items after several attempts. If a Server Failure occurs first, the Write Failure alarms are ignored. If a Write Failure alarm occurs and then a Server Failure occurs, the Server Failure takes precedence. Any Write Failures subsequent to the Server Failure are ignored.
- Validate -- Validates the alarm pipe configuration. The validation can optionally write to the configured items with specified Server Failure and Write Failure values.
- Clear -- Clear an alarm pipe configuration. The alarm pipe will be deleted when saving changes.
