Setup and run a test

Setup and run the test and when the test completes, the green bars are automatically placed at the test beginning and end times. (The data between the green bars is the data that DeltaV Predict uses to create the model and the control.) You can use the test data to create the model or you can select other data to create the model.

Select the MPC module.
Put the downstream blocks in the correct mode
In the Test Process area, enter the values for Step Size Time to Steady State, and Cycles.
Click the Test button.
The progression bar shows the portion of the test that is complete and the estimated time remaining to complete the test is shown below the progression bar.
To stop a test, click the Abort button.

You can change a manipulated parameter value during testing by selecting the parameter from the parameter data list, selecting Properties, entering a new value for the parameter, and clicking OK.
