Generally speaking, an expert user is one who is familiar with advanced process control theory and application. For the purposes of PredictPro, an expert user has a good knowledge of the delay and time constants associated with inputs to the process. To identify yourself as an expert user, select Expert from the Options menu. An expert user can:
- Modify a step response
- Add and plot points to a step response to redefine the response curve
- Design a new response (must know the process gain, deadtime, and time constants)
- Edit a step response's coefficients
- Create a model only
- View the FIR response
- Save a new step response
- Verify the accuracy of a process model
- Generate control for a process model
