Service Logs tab

Use the Logs tab of the Gateway Administration utility to view and save logs for each service. Each service has one or more log types. The logs are for use by Emerson Technical Support.

To update the information that appears in the tab, click the Refresh Service Logs button. 

Sort the information that appears in the tab by the Date, Log Type, or Message column by clicking in the column header.

To save the logs, click the Save Service Logs button. All existing log information for the currently selected services is saved in a zip file. The information in the log files is encrypted to protect sensitive and proprietary information.

Note

None of the settings in the Filter Logs area of the dialog have an effect on what is saved. The saved log file contains all log information available at the time the file was created.

You can filter the information that appears in the dialog by selecting services in the left pane and by changing values in the Filter Logs area of the dialog. The following Log Type choices are available for viewing:

Some of the information that appears in the service logs and in the Gateway Administration application also appears in the Windows Event Viewer. No sensitive or proprietary information appears in the Event Viewer.
