This dialog opens when you run the Commission command on a selected switch. The following table lists the fields and controls on the dialog.

| Commission Switch MAC Address |
The MAC address of the selected switch to commission. Displayed across the top of the dialog. |
| Switch Name | Name to be assigned to the switch module. No more than 16 characters including the required _$X suffix appended to the name specified. The name must be a valid DeltaV module name. |
| Switch IP Address |
The IP address to be assigned to the switch. This field displays for switches that are not on either the DeltaV ACN or the DeltaV Remote Network. |
| Switch Subnet Mask |
The subnet mask to be assigned to the switch. This only displays for switches that are not on either the DeltaV ACN or the DeltaV Remote Network. |
| Switch Location | The location (or description) of the switch (up to 63 characters). This text appears in switch faceplates in DeltaV Operate. This information is also stored in the switch. |
| Plant Area | The area to which the switch is assigned. Selected from a drop down list of defined plant areas in DeltaV Explorer. |
| Workstation/Node | The ProfessionalPLUS or Application station to which the switch is downloaded. Selected from a drop down list of already defined and communicating workstations in the DeltaV system. |
| Primary Control Display | The control display associated with this switch. Optionally enter or browse to the display. |
| Commission button | The action to accept the entries in the dialog, write the information to the switch, and create and download the switch module. |
| Cancel button | The action to close the dialog without accepting any entries. |
