Network Device Command Center (NDCC)

The Network Device Command Center (NDCC) application provides the user interface for commissioning, locking, unlocking, and diagnosing of network devices (such as the DeltaV Smart Switch and Emerson Smart Firewall) in the DeltaV system.

Network Device Command Center (NDCC) is capable of discovering (and therefore, commissioning, monitoring, and managing) DeltaV Smart Switches and Emerson Firewalls from the following networks (provided there is no routing or redirecting of the network traffic):

DeltaV Area Control Network (the ACN), primary and secondary
DeltaV Remote Network, primary and secondary
DeltaV level 2.5 network
Thin Client network (for virtual DeltaV workstations), primary and secondary

Note

NDCC requires that the network to be a flat network (no routing) to the switch and/or firewall with which NDCC and the control modules will communicate. Therefore, network devices can be managed by NDCC only if the network is connected to the Application Station or ProfessionalPlus where that network's modules are running.

The user interface for NDCC includes three panes:

Tree View: A hierarchy view of the commissioned and decommissioned network devices in the DeltaV system.

Summary: Information about the item selected in the Tree View.
Port Details: Contains information about the ports of the currently selected commissioned device.
