How is my registration data protected?

All data collected by the DeltaV System Registration utility is protected through a symmetric algorithm encryption method. The data is encrypted before it is sent to Emerson (or before it is stored to disk). The data is further secured when sent to Emerson via the internet through the use of SSL (Secure Socket Layer). The data is encrypted at the client side and is decrypted at the server side (the Emerson site).

The encryption (and subsequent decryption) process occurs without any user input required.
