The DeltaV System Registration utility creates a report of your system information. This report is then encrypted and sent to Emerson through the following possible methods.
The first method using your internet connection, provides an additional layer of security by using SSL when sending the encrypted data.
If an Internet connection is not available, the utility prompts you for e-mail connection information. If your e-mail server requires it, you have to enter the SMTP authentication used.
Should the first two methods not complete successfully, you are given the option to save the encrypted system information to a file. Select a location that can be accessed to then send the file via e-mail.
Finally, you can print the system information to paper. This information can then be filed for future reference.
