Installing and running the DeltaV System Registration on non-DeltaV workstations

For non-DeltaV workstations that cannot communicate with the ProfessionalPLUS workstation, install the DeltaV System Registration utility on the non-DeltaV workstation. The installer is located on disk 4 of the DeltaV installation media under DV_Extras\System Registration folder. For Guardian subscribers, it is also available in the Guardian website (https://guardian.emersonprocess.com).

There is a version of the utility for each DeltaV version. The version of DeltaV System Registration for non-DeltaV workstations inherits the version of its DeltaV counterpart (for example, 13.3, 13.3.1, and so on).

Before the utility can collect data for non-DeltaV workstations, you must import the System Registration Key file onto the non-DeltaV workstation. DeltaV System Registration can only import a System Registration Key file that was exported from a DeltaV ProfessionalPLUS that is the same DeltaV version as the non-DeltaV workstation. For example, a DeltaV System Registration utility running on a non-DeltaV workstation at version 13.3.1 can only import a key exported from a ProfessionalPLUS with DeltaV version 13.3.1.
  1. Export the System Registration Key file from the DeltaV System Registration utility running on the ProfessionalPLUS.
  2. Import the System Registration Key file to each non-DeltaV workstation using the DeltaV System Registration utility.

Information collected from the ProfessionalPLUS must be sent at least once before any information collected by DeltaV System Registration for non-DeltaV workstations will be processed.

When running the DeltaV System Registration on a non-DeltaV node, the workstation running the utility is included in the list of workstations by default. If you delete the workstation from the list and re-add it, do not input the user credentials.
