Uninstall the DeltaV System Registration from non-DeltaV workstations

The DeltaV System Registration utility can be installed on non-DeltaV workstations. When this is the case, and you want to uninstall it, you must follow these steps.

You must manually uninstall the DeltaV System Registration utility from any non-DeltaV workstations when upgrading your DeltaV system. Once the DeltaV system is upgraded, you must reinstall the DeltaV System Registration utility on the non-DeltaV workstations; manually input the workstations; export the System Registration Key from the upgraded DeltaV ProfessionalPLUS; and, import the key into the upgraded DeltaV System Registration.

The uninstall procedure requires a reboot of the computer.

  1. Log into the computer as an administrator (when in a domain, log in as a domain administrator).
  2. Open Control Panel → Programs and Features → Uninstall a program.
  3. Right click DeltaV System Registration in the list of applications and select Uninstall.
  4. Confirm that you want to uninstall the application.
  5. When the uninstall completes, you are prompted to reboot.
    The following is removed when the DeltaV System Registration utility is uninstalled
    • All workstations manually added for non-DeltaV workstation collection.
    • The System Registration Key information.
