Upgrade a Local Safety Network Gateway (LSNG)

The LSNG can be upgraded from the upgrade utility or from its properties dialog can be set up upgrade automatically when a standby card is inserted.

The LSNG must be assigned and decommissioned before it can be upgraded. Use the following steps to upgrade an LSNG:

  1. Select DeltaV SIS Components from the drop-down list in the opening window of the DeltaV Controller and I/O Upgrade Utility and click the Next button.
  2. Select the SIS controller with the LSNG that you want to upgrade and click the Next button.
  3. Select the CSLS/LSNB radio button and the LSNG that you want to upgrade and click the Next button.
  4. Select the Upgrade Left or Upgrade Right radio button.
  5. Click the Next button to begin the upgrade.
  6. Click Exit when the upgrade is complete.
