Upgrade CHARM I/O cards and CHARM components

  1. Select CHARM I/O Card or CHARM Components from the drop-down list on the first dialog of the DeltaV Controller and I/O Upgrade Utility.
  2. Click the Next button.
  3. Select the CHARM I/O card (CIOC) to be upgraded.
    Note

    When upgrading a CHARM component, you must first select the CHARM I/O Card hosting the CHARM component to be upgraded.

  4. By default, upgrade files are located in the Upgrade File Path specified (C:\DeltaV\ctl). Click the Browse button to locate upgrade files stored in another location.
    WARNING!

    Clicking the Next button at this point starts the upgrade process. Be sure that you want to perform this operation because once you select the Next button, you cannot reverse the operation.
