Alarm Mosaic interface

The Alarm Mosaic's application window is divided into three regions; all of the information displayed in the three regions is synchronized every five seconds. The three regions are:
Timeline Chart region
Located in the center of the interface, this region displays the current alarms as icons on a timeline.
Older Alarms and Newer Alarms, displayed on the left or right side of the timeline, provide a count of the active alarms that fall outside the presented time span range.
Characteristic Filter region
Located on the left side of the interface, this region is used to perform multi-selections and optionally filter alarms in the timeline and alarm list.
This region can be pinned to the main window for viewing or unpinned (hidden) to save space. Use the slider bars to change the size of the region.
Alarm List and Control Actions region
Located below the Timeline Chart, this region displays the alarms and eligible operator events (operator DOWNLOAD and CHANGE events) associated with those alarms in list form.
Both of the panes in this region can be pinned to the main window for viewing or unpinned (hidden) to save space. Use the slider bars to change the size of the region.
The columns in both panes can be resized.
Also included in the application's interface are:
Toolbar
Located at the top of the interface, it includes the container time interval options for the timeline chart and buttons for performing various actions such as opening displays or acknowledging alarms.
Status banner
The status banner is only visible when in Activation History view or when any alarm characteristics are filtered in the Characteristic Filter pane.
Located directly below the toolbar, it shows the following:
  • Filtering information
    • A message letting you know that alarms are currently filtered.
    • A Clear all filters button (when applicable).
  • Activation History view information
    • A message letting you know that you are currently in Activation History view.
    • A Return to updating view button.
    • If there are more than 1000 alarms for the period shown on the timeline, the status banner displays a message letting you know that the maximum number of alarms is presented.
To close the status banner, click the X button on the right side of the banner.
Note

The banner will reappear if alarms are filtered in the Characteristic Filter pane or you click the Activation History button to enter Activation History view.

Status bar
Located at the bottom of the interface, this displays the following:
  • Total Alarms - The total number of alarms on the timeline, including overflow alarms.
  • Unacknowledged alarms - The total number of unacknowledged alarms.
  • Time Span - The range of time from the beginning to the end of the timeline (x-axis).
  • Container Time Interval - The range of time for each (container) column of alarms.
Dark and light themes
Alarm Mosaic can be viewed with a dark or a light display theme, which can be helpful for the various lighting in control rooms or for matching DeltaV Operate color themes. Click the button to toggle between dark and light.
