General recipe

The general recipe defines the recipe as site and equipment independent. It provides a very high-level view of requirements for producing a product that can be used at many different sites. This recipe type includes general information on required equipment, raw materials, and the procedure without regard to production specifics. The general recipe is usually created by a corporate chemist. The DeltaV system does not work with the general recipe.
