Master recipe

The master recipe defines the processing requirements to manufacture a product. Control engineers design many master recipes to run on many different paths within a process cell. The master recipe acts as a template.

The DeltaV system works with master recipes in plants where equipment definition and phase logic is class-based and class-based recipes can be used.
