The failure monitor for any phase is designed to use the phase_failures named set as a way to display information to the operator when a failure occurs. The different named states in the set describe the conditions that can cause the phase to fail. The phase_failures named set is a standard DeltaV named set, phase_failures; it is predefined with five default states, as shown in the following figure:
