Procedural control model

The procedural control model defines the hierarchy of required actions that must be performed to complete a batch. The design of this model enables the construction of a series of generic instructions to use multiple times to make many different products.

The DeltaV system lets you create a standard set of reusable logic that you can incorporate into the recipes of multiple products. The DeltaV system lets you develop and manage phases, operations, unit procedures, and procedures.

The following figure illustrates the procedure, unit procedure, operation, and phase hierarchy of a recipe.
