Create the link group LINK_COLOR

In this exercise, you will create a link group called LINK_COLOR. The link group will allow phase messaging between DUMP and CHG_COLOR.

  1. In Recipe Studio, with PRC_PAINT open, on the Home tab, in the Algorithm group, click Link Group .
  2. Name the link group LINK_COLOR and enter a description.
  3. Click Add in the dialog.
  4. Browse for the CHG_COLOR phase (under UP_BLEND → OP_CHARGE), and then click OK.
  5. Add DUMP to LINK_COLOR. (Browse under UP_COLOR → OP_COLOR.)
  6. Close the link group and save PRC_PAINT.

We are almost ready to run batches in the Batch Operator Interface. However, before we can do that, we need to enable the workstation to run batch, initialize the DeltaV Batch Executive, assign the area to the Batch Executive, and download the workstation.
