You can override the default historical data server by using the
Configure Chart dialog.
To change the historical data server, complete the following steps:
Click
Chart → Configure
Chart to open the
Configure Chart dialog.
In the
Historical Data Server field on the
Configure Chart tab:
Select a source for
historical data from the drop-down list.
To connect to the
historical data server specified on the
Continuous Historian tab in the
Set Default Data Servers dialog, select
defaulthost.
To connect to the
machine where you are running Process History View, select
localhost.
If the node where the
historian is running does not appear on the drop-down list—for example, in a
DeltaV Zones environment or when the historian is installed on a non-DeltaV
workstation—you can enter the node name in the
Historical Data Server field explicitly.
If you clear the
Historical Data Server field, leaving it
blank, Process History View connects only to the DeltaV OPC Server for
real-time data, not to any historical data server.
Click
OK to close the dialog and save your changes.
