DeviceNet devices must be defined in the database before you can import DeviceNet signal configurations. Create a format specification file or use DevNet_Signal.fmt and export the signal objects that were created when you created the devices in DeltaV Explorer. Edit the exported data as required, making sure that the node_name and card_slot field values are consistent with the nodes, DeviceNet cards, and DeviceNet devices in your database. You must also make sure that other field values are correct for the device you are importing them to.
