Nodes and programmable serial cards must be defined in the databae before you can import programmable serial port configurations. Configure a port in DeltaV Explorer. Create a format specification file or use Prog_Serial_Port.fmt then export the port. Edit the exported data as required, making sure that the node_name and card_slot field values are consistent with the nodes and programmable serial cards in your database.
