AS-i devices must be defined before you can import AS-i discrete I/O configurations. Create a format specification file or use ASI_Disc_IO.fmt and export the discrete I/O objects that were created when you created the devices in DeltaV Explorer. Edit the exported data as required, making sure that the node_name, card_slot, and asi_dev_type field values are consistent with the nodes, AS-i cards, and AS-i devices in your database. You must also make sure that the asi_disc_io_name field values are correct for the device you are importing them to.
