After you have edited the data, you can import it into your configuration.
The default comment character is # (number sign). The import ignores any data on a line following the comment character. If any of your import data includes the number sign you must either edit the import data and remove the number signs or edit the format specification file and change the comment character to something that is not included in your import data.
To import data, perform the following steps:
From DeltaV Explorer, select .
The Format source dialog appears.
Click Browse, select the format specification (.fmt) file that defines the data file you are importing, and then click Next.
The Import data source dialog appears.
Click Browse, select the data (.txt) file to import, and then click Next.
The Import results dialog appears.
Click the Import button.
A dialog appears that shows the import progress and notifies you when the import is complete.
On import, information from the *.txt file is processed from the bottom up.
You may need to press the F5 key to refresh the DeltaV Explorer.
