A module is a reusable control algorithm that focuses around process equipment. Modules link algorithms, conditions, alarms, displays, and other characteristics together for a particular piece of equipment. The DeltaV system has a library of modules with all the necessary characteristics already defined. You modify the modules to fit your needs as you develop your control strategies.
