Delete a database

You cannot delete a database if it is in use by other nodes or if you do not have sufficient access rights to all the DeltaV database subdirectories. Verify that the database is not in use with the Database Connections tool. Log on to the computer as the Windows User, Administrator.

  1. Select Start → DeltaV Engineering → Database Administration.
  2. Double-click the Delete Database icon.
  3. Select the database you want to delete from the Database name list. Click on the down arrow to view the list.
  4. Click the Delete button.
  5. Confirm you want that database deleted by clicking Yes. Abort the process by clicking No.
  6. Click OK to acknowledge that the database was deleted.
  7. Click the Close button to exit the delete window or select another database to delete.
